All RTA services are open to the general public, regardless of income level. While many riders receive assistance with their RTA fees, you do not need to qualify financially to utilize the RTA.
If you need assistance with your RTA fees, review the common funding information below or contact our office for information on how to access agencies that provide transportation reimbursement.
RTA is a certified Medicaid provider of transportation. If you receive Title 19, you may be eligible for the waiver program. For more information on Medicaid Brokerage contact the RTA Mobility Coordinator.
Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEIAAA)
If you are 60 years and older, you may be eligible for NEIAAA reduced fare passes. To determine eligibility, please complete a National Aging Program Information System (NAPIS) form and contact the RTA Mobility Coordinator for more information.
If you are female with or without children and cannot afford to ride the RTA to Iowa City, you may be eligible for our Project Pass Program. To determine eligibility, please contact Project Concern at 211 or 563-588-3980 or contact the RTA Mobility Coordinator for more information.
